A REMINGTON 11.15X58mmR ROLLING BLOCK CAVALRY CARBINE, no visible serial number, circa 1870, with 20" barrel with pinched front-sight, flip leaf battle rear-sight, the action tang stamped with faint Remington patent and address legend, sling bar and ring fitted to the left-side of the action, two piece walnut stock, iron butt-plate, half forend with one spring retained barrel band, worn overall, the barrel and action to a grey / brown patina some staining and pitting, heavy corrosion to butt-plate, small sliver out of forend where it meets action body.
